3D STUDIO

Four interactive simulators

Build a tank, run a planting forward in time, model the water chemistry, and check whether your stocking list will get along. All four run in the browser with no install and no account.

These are educational models. They show the direction and rough magnitude of an effect — raise light without raising CO₂ and algae gain an advantage — rather than predicting what a specific tank will do. Real aquariums involve live animals: follow the equipment instructions and respect the welfare limits, particularly the 30 ppm CO₂ ceiling and minimum group sizes.

Aquarium Builder

Build a tank layer by layer in 3D — substrate, hardscape, plants, equipment, fish — and get the volume, substrate weight and stocking maths as you go.

  • Tank volume (L)
  • Substrate weight (kg)
  • Planting density
  • Stocking capacity

Plant Growth Simulator

Run a planted tank forward in time and watch what light, CO₂, fertiliser and temperature actually do to growth rate, health and algae risk.

  • Growth rate (cm/week)
  • Health score
  • Trim interval
  • Algae risk

Water Chemistry Simulator

Model pH, GH, KH, nitrate and phosphate over time as substrate, hardscape, CO₂, fertiliser and water changes interact.

  • Stable pH range
  • GH / KH advice
  • Nitrate / phosphate balance
  • Water-change interval

Fish Compatibility Checker

Assemble a stocking list and see whether the water matches, whether the sizes work, and who will chase whom — with a live shoal to watch.

  • Compatibility score (0–100)
  • Conflict warnings
  • Suggested stocking list
  • Minimum tank size

Performance and accessibility. The 3D library is loaded only on these four pages and never on the home page. Phones and tablets get a 2D fallback first, with an option to switch to 3D. If WebGL is unavailable, every simulator shows a static diagram with the same explanation, and if your system requests reduced motion the animations stop.
